Debra DeBlock-Hayford was born in Tampa and has lived in Florida all her life. This is her first published work. The subject is one close to her heart. The Hayfords have welcomed many animals into their lives. Whether short-term or long-term, each animal left its mark and a story to tell. Today, Debra resides in Land O'Lakes, Florida with her husband, John, and their teen-age daughter, Holland.
